This information
collection is approved through 12-94 under the following
conditions: ACF failed to adequately respond to the previou terms
of clearance which requested that ACF examine alternatives to
reporting all the information collected on all individuals in the
program. In general, ACF has not fully justified the need to
collect such extensive data on 100% of the caseload. OMB suggests
the possibility of a simple sampling methodology, such as
collecting data on every other individual in the program. ACF will
also examine the Youth Profile, Part II for ways to reduce the
burden and level of detail in this section. Upon resubmission of
this package, ACF will respond in full or the it will be returned
as improperly submitte

THE RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH BASIC
CENTER, TRANSITIONAL LIVING, AND DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAMS
PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH AND
THEIR FAMILIES. MORE THAN 500 GRANTEES ARE FUNDED UNDER THESE THREE
FEDERAL PROGRAMS. THE MIS WILL GATHER AN REPORT YOUTH
CHARACTERISTICS AND DOCUMENT SERVICES PROVIDED BY GRANTEE FUNDED
UNDER EACH OF THESE RHY PROGRAMS.
