This is a revision of a currently
approved information collection in support of a final rule, Child
Nutrition Programs: Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020-2025
Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The rule allows SFSP sponsors,
including non-profit institutions and camps, that serve primarily
American Indian or Alaska Native children to serve vegetables to
meet the grains requirement. The Summer Food Service Program
provides assistance to states to initiate and maintain nonprofit
food service programs for needy children during the summer months
and at other approved times. The collection of information is
required to administer and operate SFSP in accordance with the
National School Lunch Act.
