NASS is requesting a non-substantive
change to include the Hawaii Seed Crop Survey. NASS entered into an
agreement with the Hawaii Department of Agriculture to conduct the
Seed Crop Survey for crop year 2020-2021. The purpose of the
project is to measure and publish estimates related to foundation
seed, grow-out, and test plots Estimates will be tracked to
determine the growth and trend of Hawaii’s largest dollar value
agricultural commodity. Seed acreage, seed shipments, and total
gross budget are collected from all seed crop farms in
Hawaii.
