NSCAW II will collect information on a
second cohort of a nationally representative, longitudinal survey
of children and families who are investigated for a report of child
maltreatment. Information is to be collected directly from
children, their caregivers, caseworkers and teachers to focus on
children's functioning, well-being, and service
utilization.
US Code:

USC 628b Name of Law: Child Welfare Study
The requested increase in
burden association with this wave 3, 36 month follow-up, of data
collection is driven by the increased availability of funds which
allows for targeting the full sample, as compared to earlier
collections that reflect only a smaller subsample.
