THE CHANGE ORDER IS NEEDED TO
FORMALIZE A CHANGE IN CONSTRUCTION OF A HOUSING PROJECT. IT DIRECTS
A CONTRACTOR TO ADD, DELETE OR SUBSTITUTE CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION
ELEMENTS AND ESTABLISHES A COST FOR THE WORK AND A TIME FRAME FOR
COMPLETION. THE PROCEED ORDER IS A WRITTEN ORDER AUTHORIZING THE
CONTRACTOR TO PROCEED WITH A CHANGE IN CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS. IN
ADDITION, A CHANGE ORDER REGISTER IS MAINTAINED WHERE THERE IS MORE
THAN ONE PROJECT FOR A PRIME CONTRACT.
