EIA-782A Exclusionary List Instructions
The 2019 Exclusionary List has been updated for your use in preparing Form EIA782A, "Refiners’/Gas Plant Operators’ Monthly Petroleum Product Sales Report."
As required under the "General Instructions" for this form, respondents are to
exclude all sales to refiners and gas plant operators represented on the list. When
using this list, please note the following:
• Exclude all sales made to companies and their subsidiaries represented on
this Exclusionary List, starting with reference month April 2019.
• If sales are made to a company with a name substantially similar to one on
this list, it may be assumed that the companies are related and those sales
should be excluded. If you have any questions regarding exclusions or
potential exclusions, please contact us at 1-800-638-8812.
• Dissimilar names of companies related to those on this list, where known
to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, have been added to the list
with parenthetical reference to the related company.
• Obsolete company names (names not commonly used by the industry for
at least 5 years) have been deleted.
• Companies submitting both Forms EIA-782A and EIA-782C should note
that the two lists are different. Please use the appropriate list for each
survey.
