Revisions are being made in association with revisions to the implementing regulations at 25 CFR 224, which incorporate updates made by Congress in December 2018 in the authorizing statute.

This revision reflects a decrease in hour burden of 900 hours due to the reduction in requirements to submit information as part of the application that would allow the Department to evaluate a Tribe's capacity to manage its energy resources, and streamlining the process for a Tribe to assume control over additional energy resources not named in the original TERA through an amendment, rather than a new TERA.
