As a result of VAAR proposed rule RIN
2900-AP81, this is to request to revise the title of the clause and
to reduce the information collection burden currently imposed on
respondents as a result of revising the clause and removing the
requirement to develop Government-specified service
manuals.
Reduce the information
collection burden currently imposed on respondents as a result of
revising the clause and removing the requirement to develop
Government-specified service manuals. The VA has eliminated an
unnecessary burden on the public by making use of commercial
operation and maintenance manuals just like the general public and
established commercial practices, thereby reducing by half the
estimated annual hourly burden which is now estimated at 311 hours,
a reduction of 310 annual hours and an annual cost savings of
$7,722 to respondents.
