1. I am familiar with the Department of State and its responsibilities.

2. I generally know what a diplomat does in U.S. embassies abroad.

3. I am interested in international relations and foreign affairs.

Post Program Start:

General Familiarity with the Department: (five point scale from disagree to agreed)

1. Because of the simulation, I am more familiar with the Department of State and its responsibilities.

2. Because of the simulation, I have a better understanding of what a diplomat does in U.S. embassies abroad.

3. Because of the simulation, I am more interested in international relations and foreign affairs.

4. I would like to participate in another simulation, or a similar activity (Model UN, foreign affairs club).

5. I would be interested in pursuing an internship or career at the U.S. Department of State.   

6. Because of the simulation, I sharpened skills necessary to be a successful diplomat, like negotiation, listening, and patience.  

7. I would be interested in visiting the U.S. Diplomacy Center Museum when it is completed.  

8. I felt that the simulation was a valuable experience.
