The United States Presidential
Scholars Program is a national recognition program to honor
outstanding graduating high school seniors. Candidates are invited
to apply based on academic achievements on the SAT or ACT
assessments, through nomination from Chief State School Officers,
other recognition program partner organizations, on artistic merits
based on participation in a national talent program and achievement
in career and technical education programs. This program was
established by Presidential Executive Orders 11155, 12158 and
13697.
