The United States Presidential
Scholars Program is a national recognition program to honor
outstanding graduating high school seniors. Candidates are invited
to apply based on academic achievements on the SAT or ACT
assessments, or on artistic merits based on participation in a
national talent program. This program was established by
Presidential Executive Orders 11155 and 12158.

This is an extension of a
previously approved information collection. An Executive Order will
be signed in summer of 2015 adding 20 additional Scholars bringing
the total amount of Scholars chosen to 161.This results in an
adjustment of 300 responses and 4,800 hours. The total hours and
repsonses requested is 46,400 hours and 2,900 responses.
