The information is required to provide
accountability of Government-furnished property provided to
contractors under purchase orders for repair. The property and
receipt records will permit DoD to account for its property and
reduce the risk of misuse or loss of property. Additionally, the
electronic records facilitate an electronic end-to-end process for
management and oversight of Government-furnished property, as is
required by DoD Instruction 4161.02, Accountability and Management
of Government Contract Property.
This is a new information
collection that is not yet in existence and therefore does not have
any approved burden from OMB.
