on June 27, 2016, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District
of Texas enjoined the Department of Labor from implementing its
final rule published on April 7, 2016, "Interpretation of the
“Advice” Exemption in Section 203(c) of the Labor-Management
Reporting and Disclosure Act" (81 FR 20245). Accordingly, the
revisions to LM-10 and LM-20 associated with this final rule are
not approved for use at this time, and the previously approved
versions of these forms will remain effect until further
notice.

The Labor-Management Reporting and
Disclosure Act (LMRDA) requires unions to file annual financial
reports, and copies of their constitution and bylaws with DOL.
Under certain circumstances, reports are required of union officers
and employees, employers, labor relations consultants, and surety
companies. All reports are available for public disclosure. Filers
are required to retain supporting records for five years; unions
are required to retain election records for one year.
