The evaluation of NSF's PIRE program
will document publication, educational and career outcomes of
participants and will compare these outcomes to those of a matched
comparison group; results will provide NSF evidence of PIRE's
effectiveness at meeting its goals and will inform program
management and later solicitations for proposals. Respondents
include Principal Investigators, postdoctoral, graduate and
undergraduate students, foreign investigators, and international
affairs representatives at Lead PIs' U.S. institutions.
