TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Federal Radio Frequency Spectrum Management Course Evaluation Survey

PURPOSE:

This is an evaluation of an introduction to spectrum management course given by NTIA to Federal spectrum managers, potential spectrum managers, and others working in related fields. Spectrum Management is the planning, coordinating, and managing joint use of the radio spectrum through operational, engineering, and administrative procedures. The objective of spectrum management is to enable electronic systems to perform their functions in the intended environment without causing or suffering unacceptable interference.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:

The respondents (25 in all) will have attended this one-week course presented by NTIA in July, 2014. The respondents are new spectrum managers with an average of two years or less on the job experience; individuals who have recently been assigned the duties of a spectrum manager; and those whose work requires a basic understanding the Federal spectrum management process.
