TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION:

Project 25 Documents and Standards Reference and Video Quality in Public Safety Tools Feedback Forms

PURPOSE:

Project 25 Documents and Standards Reference (P25 DSR) is a repository that collects in one place status and links to standards documents to help public safety land mobile radio system managers make planning and procurement decisions.

The goal is to learn from our P25 DSR audience whether the information we provide is helpful in:

• Understanding the organization and relationships of the standards necessary to implement and operate components of a P25 land mobile radio system.

• Tracking the current state of P25 standards documents.

• Providing insight to aid public safety land mobile radio system managers make planning and procurement decisions.

Video Quality in Public Safety Working Group (VQiPS) provides a forum in which public safety practitioners, equipment vendors and standards bodies can educate each other on their work, and collaborate on next steps and future solutions, thereby reducing duplication of efforts.

The goal is to learn from our VQiPS Tool audience whether the information we provide is helpful in:

• Describing video quality needs.

• Providing basic guidance for the selection of key video system components.

• Understanding how video stream quality is affected as it travels from the scene (camera) through the system to the viewer watching the scene on a remote display.

We want to learn how we can improve the information we provide, based on what the audience hopes to find for the purposes they specify. Learning how our audience uses the information will help us to better know our audience.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:

Public safety land mobile radio system users (field responders), administrators, planners, procurers, and manufacturers.
