Under Title 28, Section 534, U.S.
Code, the Department of Justice, would request Supplementary
Homicide data from law enforcement agencies in order to acquire,
collect, classify, and preserve national data on criminal offenses
as part of the Uniform Crime Reports and publication, Crime in the
United States.

There is no increase in burden
on the individual respondents; however, the overall annual burden
hours have decreased from 32,373 to 20,855 which is a decrease of
11,518 burden hours and due to the NIBRS agencies burden hours
being accounted for in the NIBRS ICR.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
