The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is partnering with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Behavioral Analysis Unit to study bomb threats and bomb-related incidents that have occurred at institutions of higher education. In order for the ED and the FBI to effectively determine the needs of the educational community, we are asking for your assistance. Specifically, we hope to learn of your experiences with bomb threats and bomb-related incidents on your campus during the past five years.
The purpose of this survey is to determine to what extent bomb-related incidents have impacted your institution and how you are responding to these incidents. In an effort to determine any emerging trends or patterns that may be occurring, we will be requesting information pertaining to each year from 09/01/2007 to 06/30/2012. Your response to this survey is crucial in providing the necessary information to formulate useful resources and suggestions in handling bomb-related incidents. We greatly appreciate your participation in completing this brief survey. All information received will be confidential and anonymous.
