FHFA uses this information collection
to create a database and reporting infrastructure to monitor the
safety of the Banks' investments and the extent to which the Banks
are fulfilling their statutory housing finance mission through
their AMA programs. This is part of FHFA's overall responsibility
as the safety and soundness and mission supervisor of the Banks. In
addition, FHFA uses the information collection to create and
maintain the public use database it is required to make available
under section 10(k) of the Bank Act.
