The proposed amendments would reduce
the allowable NOX emission limit to 0.50 pound per ton of acid
produced. The proposed amendments require the installation of a
continuous emission measurement system (CEMS) for NOX emissions and
a gas flow rate monitor for gas flow rate from the stack.
This burden results from the
proposed amendments to the Nitric Acid NSPS, which requires
additional equipment and monitoring activities.
