Cut-Scores in Higher Education Institutions).

collection (Request for a new OMB Control Number)
This collection
is approved only for the pilot phase. Before proceeding with the
full-scale data collection, NAGB will resubmit this collection to
OMB, along with a report on the pilot findings. OMB requests that
this report include an assessment of (1) what was learned, (2) any
changes made to the proposed collection or collection protocols,
(3) ongoing methodological concerns, (4) pilot response rates, (5)
measures taken in the pilot to attain those response rates, and (6)
feasibility and cost of reproducing the pilot rates in the
full-scale data collection. Pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507(a)(1)(D),
NAGB will publish a Federal Register notice announcing that the
collection has been transmitted to OMB for review, along with a
30-day public comment period.

survey of postsecondary education institutions to determine the
tests used and the cut-scores employed in making decisions about
placement into entry-level credit bearing coursework and into
remedial/developmental courses.
