Comment Summary for Ventilation Plans, Test and Examinations in
Underground Coal Mines

MSHA received only one comment. Overall this commenter agreed with the proposed information collection request for the Ventilation Plans, Test and Examinations in Underground Coal Mines. However, the commenter requested that MSHA not change the recordkeeping requirements in provisions 30 CFR 75.312 Main Mine Fan Examinations and Records, and 30 CFR 75.342 Methane Monitors. Also, the commenter recommends that recordkeeping requirements for both pre-shift and on-shift continue to be recorded as has been the historical practice for Weekly Examinations under 30 CFR 75.364.
