Records of tests and examinations are
necessary to ensure that the ventilation system is being maintained
and that changes which could adversely affect the integrity of the
system or the safety of the miners are not occuring.
There has been a decrease in
the number of Respondents (612 to 457). This is due to a decrease
in the number of underground coal mines. There was a decrease of
435,735 hours (1,824,456 to 1,388,721). The decrease in the number
of mines has a direct reflection on the number of hours. Cost:
Although the number of mines has decrease there has been an
increase. This is due to an increase in employee wages. Responses:
The large number of responses contained in the last report was a
mistake.
