The following were the terms of clearance for the last OMB package submitted for TPOPS:

NOTICE OF OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET ACTION

TERMS OF CLEARANCE:

"This collection is approved for three years with the understanding that BLS will continue sending advance letters to improve response rates for this collection."

BLS has complied with the terms of clearance. Advance letters are sent to each address to which a phone number in sample can be matched. Because of the success of advance letters, this clearance includes the collection of addresses to send advance letters or postcards for each panel.
