Charlene Arneson (Whittier Resident)
Comments made by Charlene were taken orally over the phone 9/9/2008 and they include:
she stated some concern that it might be difficult for some people to follow and would require an interviewer to be sitting with them to assist with interview materials
she also stated that we should be sure we introduce the interview as something that could take 30 minutes or more
her final conclusion was that “overall the questions made sense and the recording instrument should work” if an interview is there to help lead respondents through the process
Charlie Eldridge (Whittier Resident)
Comments made by Charlie were taken orally over the phone 9/9/2008 and they include:
he had concerns that “most people” would not be willing to give up their “secret spots” for fishing or hunting and that the grid cells might still be to specific if respondents thought their individual results were going to be made available anywhere
he was concerned that we asked to many questions and that compared to the type of typical harvest reporting that the state requires for personal use harvest our process was substantially longer
he also felt an opportunity should be added to allow for respondents to provide general comments on subsistence harvest management in PWS
