In 1989, Prince William Sound (PWS), part of Chugach National Forest (CNF), was severely impacted by the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill (EVOS). Monies awarded to Federal and state trustees are being used to help and monitor recovery efforts for all injured resources and human services, included traditional subsistence harvest practices. Understanding subsistence harvest patterns in PWS will add important data to the existing PWS human use studies. The results of this survey, funded by EVOS dollars, will add to information on recovery and restoration activities.
