Semi- Annual Progress Report for Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking on Campus Program (1122-0005)
The name of the grant program has been changed to reflect Violence Against Women Act of 2005 (VAWA 2005) amendments.
Question 5 was revised to clarify type of lead institution and then 5b was added to specify additional information about the lead institution.
Questions 7 have been added to identify through check boxes if the grant program is a Special Initiative, consortium or flagship project as permitted under the current OVW grant program.
In the instructions section on question 10, the definitions have been revised to be consistent with statutory changes and with the definitions used on other OVW grant program progress report forms.
The instructions to question 11 have been revised to make them consistent with other forms.
The names of different types of staff in question 11 have been revised to make them consistent with other forms. Some have been removed as they were no longer necessary.
The descriptions of the statutory purpose areas identified in question 12 have been revised to reflect statutory changes from VAWA 2005.
Question 16b was added to permit grantees to explain if not all incoming students received the required education.
Question 17 was revised to delete “Sexual harassment overview, dynamics and services” as a training topic.
Questions 18 and 23 of the old form were deleted as no longer necessary.
Questions 18 and 20 of the new form were revised to add a total column at the bottom of each chart.
The training content areas listed in question 21 were revised to make them consistent where applicable with other OVW forms.
Question 24 was revised and Question 24a was added to reflect consistency with other OVW forms that listed types of organizations participating in community coordinated response activities.
Questions 28 and 29 were revised to reflect consistency with other OVW forms that listed types of persons trained and training content areas.
In response to questions from grantees, Questions 31-35 were revised to clarify the difference between education and outreach activities and to reflect which of those activities addressed which types of violence against women issues.
Question 41 was revised to provide additional clarification and make them consistent with other OVW forms.
Question 42 was revised to be consistent with other forms and reflect new categories for reasons victims did not receive services.
Question 44 was slightly revised to be consistent with other OVW forms and make clarifications.
Question 45 on the old form was revised by removing “hotline calls” from the type of services and making it a separate question (new question 45a). This was a change that was made to other OVW forms as well and was requested by grantees across the grant programs.
Question 48 was revised to reflect different types of protection orders, a change consistent with other OVW forms.
Questions 50 and 53 were revised to reflect dating violence.
Appendix A of the form, the section was deleted.
20. At the end of each section, an optional question was added that permits grantees to include additional narrative information about the effectiveness of the activities described in that section rather than group all the activities together in a response to the “catch-all” narrative question at the end of the form.
21. Throughout the form, categories in tables and lists were revised so that they reflected alphabetical order making them easier to complete.
