Education claimants taking
correspondence courses must be notified that the law allows them a
ten day period to reflect on their decision to enroll in a
correspondence course and determine whether that course is suitable
to their abilities and interests. The correspondence school
contract is not effective unless the claimant affirms that contract
after the expiration of 10 full days after the signing.
Burden decreases due to the
decrease in correspondence enrollments. Many students prefer to do
online education or are able to meet the more varied times
(evenings & weekends) that institutions now offer.
