This request is submitted for review and approval by OMB under generic clearance 3064-0127.
On March 20, 1998, the FDIC received approval from OMB to use occasional qualitative surveys to gather anecdotal information from the public. Under the generic clearance entitled “Occasional Qualitative Surveys” (3064-0127), the FDIC submits for OMB approval the attached brief questionnaire of Minority Depository Institutions (MDI). This survey continues the FDIC’s practice of using quantitative surveys to determine FDIC performance levels, as well as to make quality improvements to the FDIC’s programs.
Purpose of Survey: The purpose of this survey is to assist the FDIC in determining the quality of the FDIC’s MDI program, and to identify ways to improve the program.
Methodology: The one and a half page questionnaire (attached) will be mailed to about 200 MDI following the OMB approval of this request. We anticipate approximately 100 responses. We estimate that respondents will spend approximately 30 minutes on average completing the feedback questionnaire. All participation is voluntary. An expeditious response to this request would be greatly appreciated. A copy of the feedback questionnaire is attached for review by OMB.
