The Labor-Management Reporting and
Disclosure Act (LMRDA) requires unions to file annual financial
reports, and copies of their constitution and bylaws with DOL.
Under certain circumstances, reports are required of union officers
and employees, employers, labor relations consultatns, and surety
companies. All reports are available for public disclosure. Filers
are required to retain supporting records for five years; unions
are required to retain election records for one year.

annualized burden hours and 3,696 annual responses attributable as
a program change as noted in item 15 of the supporting statement.
OLMS current OMB inventory is 4,437,032 hours; OLMS is projecting
that the renewed Forms (without Form T-1) will require 3,373,254
hours. This change is the result of OLMS not issuing Form T-1.
However, as indicated in the Note to Reviewer, final rules
revising Form LM-30 and issuing Form T-1 are forthcoming and they
will result in an increase in the annualized burden hours and
responses.
