Section 401(b) and (c) of the Child
Support Performance and Incentive Act of 1998 required regulations
that would issue a National Medical Support for purposes of
obtaining medical support coverge for children under the title IV-D
program. The legislation required the use of standardized forms
promulgated in regulations by the Secretaries of HHS and DOL to
ensure uniformity in enrolling children for health care coverage
and ease the burden of compliance for employers and health
administrators. The IV-D agency initiates this form on occasion
when the noncustodial parent's employer's....
