Sections 401(b) and c) of the Child
Support Performance and Incentives Act of 1998 require regulations
that would issue a National Medical Support Notice for purposes of
obtaining medical support coverage for children under the title
IV-D program. This legislation requires the use of standardized
forms promulgated in regulations by the Secretaries of HHS and DOL
to insure uniformity in enrolling children from health care
coverage and ease the burden of compliance for employers and health
plan administrators. The IV-D agencies initiate this form on
occasions when the non-custodial parent's..
