OMB requests
annual updates from ED about the progress made in the upcoming
employment outcomes data collection initiative. This initiative, as
we understand it, will examine the viability of regularly
collecting outcomes data for ED programs that support
pre-employment training or education. OMB anticipates that the
annual update would provide more information on the feasibility of
annual data collection for the employment outcomes of
GAANN-supported students and, if successful, performance
information about the post-degree activities of these students. If
ED and OMB agree that the annual collection of such informatio n is
viable and a new employment outcomes measure is feasible before the
expiration date of this clearance, OMB expects the program will
resubmit this application to include the new measure.
