In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is cleared for a period
of three years. However, the agency must consult with affected
respondents to determine whether the recordkeeping requirements are
standard business practice. The agency should provide to OMB the
name and telephone number of those parties consulted about this
issue. Should the agency find that the recordkeeping requirements
are standard business practice, the agency should submit a change
worksheet that reflects the correct level of recordkeeping
burden.

Establishing an industry-funded,
research, and information program for lamb and lamb products
including pelts but excluding wool and wool products, seedstock
producers, feeders, and exporters will pay an assessement of
one-half cent ($.005) per pound when live lambs are sold. First
handlers, primarily packers, would pay an additional 30 cents per
head of lamb purchased.
