Terms of Clearance: ACF allowed approval for this information collection to expire in June of 2000, while continuing to collect information under the OMB control number in violation of the PRA. ACF should report to OMB by April of 2001.

Abstract: The data are needed to comply with statutory reporting requirements under the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Act of 1981 (Pub. Law 97-35). The data are included in the Department's annual LIHEAP report to Congress. Portions of the data are used as performance measures under the Government Performance Results Act of 1993. The respondents include states, direct-grant Indian tribes and tribal organizations, and insular areas which receive LIHEAP grants from the Department.
