To protect park resources and values
from internal mineral development, the NPS requires prospective
operators to submit proposed plans of operations to the NPS for
review and approval. The plans cover the life of operations
including reclamation. They are a one time submittal that can be
revised. No annual report is required. Operators consist of one
third medium to large publicly owned companies and two thirds
private entities.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
