Certifying Regulatory Compliance", OSHA will begin immediately a
comprehensive review of its certification records and the
underlying requirements and will complete this review within two
years. Upon completion of this review, OSHA will begin rulemaking
as necessary to modify or remove any underlying requirements
determined to warrant such action. OSHA shall report to OMB upon
resubmission of this collection any plans for regulatory revision
affecting this collection or the reason such revisions are not
needed.

This is a request for an extension of
approval for the information collection requirement associated with
the hydrostatic testing of portable fire extinguishers. Persons
performing the test are required to record their name, the date of
the test, and the identifier of the extinguisher tested as evidence
of completing this test.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that

with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
