SBA form 1405 is used by SBIC
examiners as part of their initial examination of newly licensed
SBICs. This information collection provides independent third-party
confirmation of a newly licensed SBIC's representations regarding
its owners. The information collection also serves as an essential
tool in determining an SBIC's regulatory compliance and financial
integrity as required under the Small Business Investment Act of
1958, 15 U.S.C. section 687b, and Agency regulations found in 13
CFR 107.690 to 107.692.
