The expiration date of this collection was modified due to the
pending consolidation with the N-600 and the N-643. When the
consolidated form is submitted to OMB, the supporting statement
shall discuss any plans for electronic submission. In addition the
consolidated form will allow respondents to fill out information
for only one grandparent unless necessary. This collection expired
in 12-97 and has been in violation of the Paperwork Reduction Act
since then. INS shall ensure that such future violations are
prevented.

Section 322 of the Immigration and
Nationality Act enables a United States citizen parent, who is
unable to transmit citizenship of his or her children, to use a
citizen grandparent's residence for transmission. This form is
required so that information on a grandparent's residence may be
collected to establish a child's eligibility for
naturalization.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
