CFR 1320.5, OMB is approving this collection for one year. EPA has
indicated that it is currently meeting with affected parties to
discuss revisions to this collection; and that the Agency expects
to conclude these discussions within the next six months. Upon
conclusion of this process, EPA will submit any ICR revisions to
OMB for review resulting therefrom.

Manufacturers of gasolines, diesel
fuels, and additives for gasoline and/or diesel are required to
conduct health-effects research, unless they qualify for an
exemption. Many small businesses are exempt from some or all of the
requirements. Manufacturers of similar products have the
opportunity to group and share the expenses. The information will
be used to identify products whose emissions may pose an
unreasonable risk by public health.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
