HUD needs occupancy information to
monitor the rate and extent at which the Low-Income Public Housing
Program is being used by Housing Agencies (HAs) to assist
low-income families. Form HUD-51234 is submitted by HAs and
provides HUD officials, field offices, and headquarters occupancy
information for monitoring units. Occupancy reports are provided to
the President and Congress as requested.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
