Abstract: Electrical engineering regulations are necessary to promote the safety of life at sea on USCG-certified vessels. The Coast Guard reviews plans and procedures to determine compliance and evaluate necessary manning of automated vessels. Vessel designers, shipyards, manufacturers, and owners are affected.
