SUBCHAPTER J PROVIDES THE STANDARDS
AND REQUIREMENTS FOR REVIEW OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS ON U.S.
COAST GUARD CERTIFICATED VESSELS. THE COAST GUARD MUST REVIEW THESE
PLANS TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE. THIS IS DONE TO PROMOTE THE PUBLIC
SAFETY OF LIFE AT SEA. THE PUBLIC AFFECTED BY THIS REGULATION IS
SHIPBUILDERS AND NAVAL ARCHITECTS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
