Per HUD's
memorandum to OMB of June 8, 1989, the request to collect
race/ethnicity/gender data has been dropped since HUD revised its
rule to eliminate that data requirement (contained at section
885.710 of the rule). Instead, consistent with the change in HUD's
ranking criteria for approving applications (at section 885.750(b)
of the rule), applicants may provide whatever information is
appropriate (including participation rates) to indicate experience
in serving minority handicapped individuals.
