EACH STATE IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT
ANNUALLY A CERTIFICATION OF SPEED LIMIT ENFORCEMENT THAT MUST
INCLUDE A FIGURE FOR THE PERCENT OF VEHICLES EXCEEDING 55 MILES PER
HOUR. THE DATA IS USED TO JUDGE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE STATE'S
ENFORCEMENT EFFORT. RESPONDENTS INCLUDE THE FIFTY STATES AND PUERTO
RICO.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
