Abstract: TO OBTAIN ACADEMIC INFORMATION ON INDIVIDUALS APPLYING FOR VARIOUS OFFICER CANDIDATE PROGRAMS. SINCE THESE PROGRAMS LEAD TO A COMMISSION IN THE NAVY, THE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS EXCEEDS THE QUOTA FOR THE PROGRAMS AND SELECTION BECOMES DIFFICULT. SCHOLASTIC STANDING OF AN APPLICANT IS ONE CRITERIA USED IN THE SELECTION.
