Contractor's Diversity Profile
RCF New
The Contractors’ Workforces Fair Inclusion Program is an initiative under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (DFA), Section 342. This program ensures that contractors working with the FDIC demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity by making a good faith effort to include minorities and women in their workforces. The Good Faith Effort Reviews serve as the compliance mechanism for this program, evaluating contractors’ actions to expand employment opportunities for diverse candidates. The Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) oversees this program as part of its broader mandate under DFA 342, which also includes assessing the diversity policies and practices of FDIC-regulated financial institutions. OMWI’s implementation of these programs has achieved several outcomes: 1. Identification of Leading Diversity Practices: Highlighting effective strategies to promote workforce diversity. 2. Increased Visibility: Providing insights into the diversity efforts of the financial and public sectors. 3. Expanded Employment Opportunities: Ensuring contractors have robust initiatives to hire minorities and women.
