The Federal Government’s Pay.gov system allows businesses and members of the public to electronically pay certain taxes and fees, file tax returns, and submit various reports and requests. The TTB portion of the Pay.gov system provides alcohol and tobacco businesses with a means to pay excise taxes, file tax returns, and submit certain operations and production reports via the internet rather than submitting paper checks and documents by postal mail or delivery service. To request access to TTB's portion of the Pay.gov system, respondents complete form TTB F 5000.31, Pay.gov User Agreement. TTB uses the provided information to identify the respondent, verify their authority to act for the business in question, confirm their agreement to the Pay.gov system’s terms and conditions of use, and register the respondent as a user of the system. TTB's registration of Pay.gov users is necessary to prevent misuse of that electronic system.
The latest form for Pay.gov User Agreement expires 2024-01-31 and can be found here.
