States who seek a temporary waiver, under section 37.7, of the
prohibition on Federal acceptance, for official purposes, of mobile
driver’s licenses (mDLs) that do not comply with the REAL ID Act and
regulations. States seeking a waiver must apply to TSA, following the
processes set forth in section 37.9 and submitting materials required
by section 37.10.
States to whom TSA has issued a issued temporary waiver for mDLs
under section 37.7.
States who seek to renew a issued temporary waiver for mDLs under
section 37.7.

This information collection requires States to submit to TSA an
application for approval of a temporary waiver, under section 37.7, of
the prohibition on Federal acceptance, for official purposes, of mobile
driver’s licenses (mDLs) that do not comply with the REAL ID Act and
regulations.

The information must be submitted in accordance with 6 CFR § 37.9.

What happens when
complete information is
received?

In accordance with 6 CFR § 37.9, TSA will provide States written
notice via email of TSA’s decision within 90 calendar days.
