Introduction
Thank you for attending this listening session today. The purpose of this session is to gather feedback to inform ORR’s development of a Humanitarian Response Operating Plan as directed in the House Committee on Appropriations’ House Report 117-96. The Humanitarian Response Operating Plan will account for how priority personnel from across the government, in coordination with national and local non-governmental organizations, can be rapidly deployed to the southern border, as necessary, during migration surges. Please note this is not an invitation for new volunteers or federal partners to deploy to any ORR care provider or DHS facility. We expect the session to take about an hour. Your participation is voluntary and your name will not be associated with any of the feedback you provide.
